THE MOTHER OF ALL SWEAR WORDS!

OHH... FUUUDGGE!!!
On Friday night Dan and I were in a car accident on Bangater HWY...
It was the beginning to a CRAZY weekend! We were headed North on Bangater HWY when we rear-ended a BRAND NEW 2008 FORD PICK UP!
I was not wearing a seat belt, so in this next picture you will see where my face hit the windshield! The most amazing thing is that I didn't even bruise my face, Although my nose is HUGE!

As I look back at this situation, I can't help but be so very grateful to my Heavenly Father for watching over us... I know this situation could have been so much worse! It truly is a miracle that Dan and I were able to walk away from this with minamal injuries!!

Thank you for the Love & Support this past weekend!!!

Love Dan and Lora

Be Where You Are...

One of the major reasons people fail to find happiness or to create that unique lifestyle they dream about is because most have not mastered the art of being.
While we are home our thoughts are still absorbed with solving the challenges we face at the office. And when we are at the office we find ourselves worrying about problems at home.
We go through the day without really listening to what others are saying to us. We may be hearing the words, but we aren't absorbing the message.
As we go through the day we find ourselves focusing on past experiences or future possibilities. We are so involved in yesterday and tomorrow that we never even notice that today is slipping by.
We go through the day rather than getting something from the day. We are everywhere at any given moment in time except living in that moment in time.
Practice being wherever you are.  If you are talking with a family member, friend or fellow employee give them 100%. Learn to focus on the current moment, and drawing from it all of the substance and wealth of experience and emotions that it has to offer. Lifestyle is not something we do; it is something we experience. And until we learn to be there in the moment, we will never master the art of being.

Sisters

The other morning I got this e-mail and I couldn't resist posting it! I hope Kelly doesnt hate me for it, but I hope she knows how thankful I am to have her for a Sister!

Thank you Kelly for everything you do for me... Love you!
I also wanted to post a pic of all my sisters... Love you guys

Hey Lora: I can not figure out how to post my comment on your blog. This is my next alternative email it to you and you can post it if you want to. I wanted to leave a memory comment since I have a ton of those HAHA don't worry I didn't say anything bad...... Yet! Just kidding this is what I wanted to write, look it over and post it under my name if you want to. I can't figure out how to do this but it is 11 at night and I am maybe not thinking clear?

I remember the first day I met Lora. Matt brought me over to meet his family and hang out. Lora instantly gave me a hug and invited me to come and play Baseball with them at the Layton Park with the rest of the Peterson's. I had only been in the house for like 3 minutes. I am not a big fan of playing baseball, but I went to watch anyway. We became immediate firends and it was like we had know each other forever. I remember always being at the Peterson houe in Clinton, It was a place I always felt welcome! Thank you Lora for this (oh yeah and your mom and dad too) I was there so much I felt like your sister already although Matt and I were not married yet. You went to your first High School dance (who knows who the guys was since you hadn't met your fabulous husband Dan yet) I remember taking pictures with the Camera after doing your hair for hours. I also remember all the tears I cried that night when he came to pick you up! I don't know why I was crying but I was and so was your mother! Thank you for always loving me and accepting me into your family. I know it must have been hard to let another girl into your family, you were used to being the only daughter and the only sister. You alwasy included me and you always do whatever you can to help me and I appreciate that more than I can ever say. I love you and your family and could not have asked for a better one! Thank you again for being MY SISTER!With love Kelly

I've Been Tagged

So last night I was at my Aunt Debbie's house and she asked if I had finished my BOO???
So I thought this morning I would make sure that I got it done just for her...!
Love you Aunt Debbie
What was your favorite Halloween costume when you were a kid?
I have a couple, the first one was when I was 16 my mom made me this amazing Renaissance Princess dress. I know it was so much work for her but I loved it, I still have actually and I'm pretty sure I always will..
My 2nd is actually from last year, I had to dress up for work and I could not think of a single thing to be. So at the last minute I decided that I want to be Tinker Bell, so my Mother- in - law drove all over town looking for a white dance leotard, thick white tights that we can dye green, along with fairy wings.
She also drove all the way up to Layton( from Spanish fork) the night before Halloween, and she and I stayed up until about 1 am making this silly costume. It turned out pretty good the only problem was that while I was dental assisting I had to take my wings off and everyone thought I was Peter Pan.
What is your favorite Halloween candy?
As most of you know, I love anything with Sugar in it! So this time of the year is really not good for me. When we go to the grocery store Dan is usually steering me away from the mounds of candy... But I would have to say that I really enjoy the Sprees (of course) in the Halloween aisle they are smaller and come in little packages, and for some reason they taste even better than the regular ones...!
Do you have a Halloween tradition?
Dan and I don't have our own tradition, but I remember from when I was younger that my mom would always set up her little "Spook Station" with her lamp ghost and her light up pumpkin and her spooky music. She would always make chili, and we would all come in from trick-or-treating and dump our candy on the floor, count it, then my dad would come and see what we got then he would pick up a peice of candy and tell us that he was "checking" to make sure that it wasn't posion...
Have you ever played a trick instead of giving a treat?
I don't think so, but like Debbie I would like to... maybe I will look up some ideas for this year and see what I can come up with, you better watch out because I might just be playing the trick on you...!
I BOO (At least 3 people) Krista, JP & Abbey

My Mom!

Me & My Mom

This week my mom was able to come and stay a week in Utah. She was here to watch Ace while Kelly was out of town for work.
It was so nice to have my mom here for a week. We had so much fun while she was here, since Dan was on night shift I was able to spend every night with her.
We did all sorts of things. We got our nails done, got pedicures, went out to eat, talked and laughed about everything.
It was really nice to rekindle such a great Mother & Daughter friendship.
I just wanted my mom to know how much I Love Her. She always knows just what to say or do to help me with whatever it is that I need. Thanks for being there Mom!

Can't wait to see you for Thanksgiving...!

Dan & My Mom

I Love this picture! My Mom & Dan are the funniest people (don't you think this picture says it all? )

All the way home Dan was trying to think of ideas to get my parents to move to Utah! I loved that he loves them enough to want them to move here! Or he just wants her here to get me out of the house more...! j/k

Book of Mormon Challange

Ok Family and Friends,

Dan and I have decided that we wanted to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year... I'm sure all of you remember the challange President Hinkley gave to the world back in the Oct/2005 general conference.

Dan and I did not participate in this challange, and I always felt kind of like I should have. I tried justifying the fact that we didn't. I mean give me a break Dan and I were planning our wedding, and did our best to justify that we didn't have "time."

Silly us...! One of my favorite quotes that I am sure Dan got from someone famous, but has taken it and made it his own is. "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions..." So often in my life I feel like I am paving my own road with "Good Intentions." Well not this time, I am bound and determined to finish the book of mormon this year...!

I would also like to extend this challange to all of my Friends and Family! I understand that we are approaching the busiest time of the year, but I think it is the perfect way to stay close to the gospel, and to help us remember the simple things in life that keep us grounded...!

I want you all to know that I do have a testimony of this Gospel, as simple as my testimony is. It is stong and I know that by reading the book of mormon it will only help it to grow.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about us, we'll assume you're playing the game and we'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

NeW bLoG

Hi Guys,
I'm assuming you can tell that I have started a new blog...! I was so frustrated with my other one... Everyone had darling stuff with theirs, and I wanted to join the club..!!! Hopefully this one will work out just a little better... Love Lora
